The renowned Dr. Lam discussed mushrooms as a natural medicine that possesses anti-cancerous effects because it contains beta-glucan; which was proven to exhibit potent anti-tumour activity. For example, Maitake mushroom reigns over the rest when it comes to inhibiting cancer cells. It appeared to stop cancer growth when taken alongside chemotherapy. In another study, Maitake reduced the risk of breast cancer by 80% when taken orally. Early stage breast cancer patients who were given Maitake experienced a 70% growth reduction in cancer cells.
